Would like to give a better rating but we were denied that ability. Called them up to see what time the bar closes and made a 15 minute trek to get their 10 minutes before they closed ..... Walk into the bar and ask the bartender for a drink and she tells us they are closed. She was cleaning the bar we get it because they were probably quiet but that's not what we expect in terms of customer service. We left but did call back the front desk to tell them of the poor customer experience. You should be better than that !

The food is hit and miss, the bar is small...even smaller when it's winter and the patio is closed. But there is something here I like. While I'm a regular and still get carded in my mid 30's, it doesn't bother me, but I would like a bit of recognition as a regular...not my name, but jeeze if you see my face that much, can't you just remember I'm not 12?

The food was very tasty. I had the tenderloins and tortellini. My colleague had the chicken breast. Small portions. Nice presentation. Knowledgeable waitress. Two different menus - a dining room menu with fancier dishes and a patio menu with burgers, etc. Atmosphere was nice and cozy

Looking for an outrageously priced, droll business meal? This is the place for you. Anasazi restaurant is untouched by human hands. The bill was over $300 and my party left hungry.

We really like the bar at the Inn of the Anasazi. It is small, intimate, yet always buzzing with folks. The inside only holds some 30, including the bar seating, but there is additional seating outside on patio which can be very nice. Great services from the bartenders makes this place a favorite of ours. James is fantastic! The bar menu is NOT your standard fare and that is fun too!

This meal culminated our last night in Santa Fe. After several terrific meals over the course of 5 days, I didn't want to set my expectations too high. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The food here is very good. And of all the dishes, I'm a sucker for the duck enchilada with the mole. The atmosphere is definitely southwest. It's sort of rustic and it almost feels like your in an ancient cave. The service was terrific and I would recommend this to anyone. The only reasons why I reserving the last star is that I think it doesn't give you the value of some of the offerings in the area. But if you have 4 or 5 nights to eat out and you don't want to hit the same place twice, Anasazi would make the list.

Great staff who were super attentive. Live music. The food was very delicious and wonderfully presented. Come here for a social meal, nice setting in and old library.

Every time we're in downtown Santa Fe I like to find a new restaurant to eat at. After walking around and reading several menus, the Ahi Tuna Tostada on the Anasazi menu caught my eye. (I'm a sucker for a good tuna dish) The restaurant itself is very stylish, quiet and cozy. Our server did an exceptional job. The jalapeno cornbread croutons on the Cesar salad were a nice unexpected touch and though i did enjoy my "entrée" portion ahi tostada, it would have been better suited for an appetizer. It was tasty but not filling or worth the price.

We have gone twice recently as part of the local Restaurant Week which features a prix fixe menu at a teaser price. Lunch and then dinner were consistent. First, the food was truly top notch. I think their tortilla soup might be something I seek out with regularity. Entrees were well balanced, well executed, well presented and well sized. You couldn't ask for more. The restaurant is in one of Santa Fe's priciest hotels. It is surprisingly modestly decorated. But, table separation is good and noise levels reasonable. What is worth noting is the service staff. While they hit all the marks on our checklist of basics (utensil replacement/switching; giving us water quickly; not too fast not too slow between courses), the staff all seemed to not engage comfortably...as if they were uncomfortable. And, they weren't wearing clothes that identified them as wait staff. I first thought our server was a patron - until I saw his name plate. I feel a bit elitist focusing on this, but I do have to say that the ambiance/staff were a couple of steps below the quality of the food. Now, that wouldn't be a problem except that the restaurant is expensive. And, while the food compares very well with Santa Fe's other top restaurants, the ambiance and staff do not.

My husband & I both had the open face BLT Trout sandwich. It was topped with avacado & melted cheese. Very good. Our son had a toasted PB & J with a side of fries and fresh fruit. It looked pretty appetizing for a kids meal. We shared flan for dessert. Don't tell my Cuban mother in law, but my husband & I both agreed that this flan was possibly the best we'd ever had. They should rename it Phenomenal Flan.

Unbelievable dinner , sea bass was amazing , deserts made from scratch!! It's hard to find true Sea bass but they have it here

We just had brunch here. I am very disappointed that this Rosewood affiliate restaurant would come up so short on so many levels. This restaurant is a true embarrassment for this high end hospitality group. The meal was very expensive and my green chile burrito was basically eggs in a flour tortilla with what tasted like caned green chile on top. The hash browns that came in the side lacked seasoning and were cold. The wait staff made frequent mistakes and did not know the dishes well, answering many questions confidently wrong. I would not go back.

Absolutely wonderful dinner at the restaurant! Great atmosphere, friendly wait staff, incredible food!! For cocktails we had a margarita on the rocks and a pomegranate martini, thrilled with both drinks. Pomegranate martini had more of a lemon flavor than I expected but I love lemon and was delighted. Our appetizer was a salmon and crab toradito salad - soo good. Radishes and avocado with a citrus glaze made this such a unique dish. Our main course was the salmon and porch chops! Very good marinades on both! For dessert we had this AHHH-MAZING mango cake with coconut pearls and pineapple. It was so wonderful, little melt in your mouth, taste of heaven!!! Our server, Leslie, was so friendly, such a people person. The manager came over several times to check on us and give more details about the food. One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had!
(5)Nory B.
Had the yummiest meal here tonight! Hubby had the soup and the lingcod, which he really liked. My mother-in-law had the salad with watercress mousse and spring vegetables, along with a special order of the grilled salmon without the chile almond crust because she can't eat spicy. I had the egg and spinach ravioli, the heirloom tomato salad, and the goat cheese gnocchi--SO good! Then for dessert my mom-in-law had the almond olive oil cake with the olive oil sherbet--she was so tickled pink by her dessert that she requested the chef Juan to sign a copy of the menu--and he did! Service was exceptional! The maitre'd and our server as well as the busman were all very friendly and attentive--thank you!!

Unfortunate. While four of us had lunch on the patio. Only three of us was pleased with food and service. One had the flank steak trio, Another had the trout trio, Another had the reuben sandwich and Another had the enchilada trio. The misgivings was the tasteless enchilada, a beer ordrerd then when it did not appear was tried to cancel. The waitress refused and brought out an un opened warm bottle of beer. The coffees ordered were charge a whopping $5 each. Unless a change in food, prices and service occurs we do no recommend this restaurant. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

This place is first class all the way and the food is awesome. I would definitely stay here again.
(5)Shana L.
Definitely recommend for weekday lunch! My friend and I came here yesterday and enjoyed the daily special and the grilled shrimp chipotle salad. Both were delicious! We also had the dessert, which had ice cream and upside down pineapple cake - so good!

Anasazi was a favorite, but little has changed here over the years. There's nothing necessarily bad about Anasazi, but not much that is memorable or outstanding either. Service was fine, but the kitchen was very slow. Table bussed quickly, waters filled constantly. Attentiveness of the staff may be due in part of them outnumbering the guests. Signature cocktails- heavy, syrupy, headache-inducing. Food- tasty, smaller portions and a little pricey, even for Santa Fe. I wish I could point to any of the appetizers, entrees or sides at our table and say "wow". It wasn't there. (As a note- the kitchen sends things out a little more rare then you normally expect) Skipped dessert- walked over to Pasqual's for a bag of their killer cookies instead. If you need a dinner spot and everyone else is booked-up, Anasazi is an "okay" option. Otherwise, plan ahead.

During my stay at the hotel, we enjoyed breakfast and lunch at the restaurant. The atmosphere was comfortable, the service was great and the food was very good with a wide selection to choose from.

The only reason this review is 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the customer service. My friend and I were excited to try this place bc of the positive reviews and made a reservation during our long weekend in Santa Fe. But we really didn't need to bc the dining room was pretty dead at 7 pm on a Saturday night. First warning sign. The drink menu did not delight me but I ordered something from it, only to be told they were out of a component ingredient so I ordered the Africana. It took forever to arrive but when it did, it tasted like cough syrup and we sent it back. The waiter really emphasized that the heirloom tomato salad was great so I ordered it. The tomatoes were bland and tasteless and I kicked myself for ordering tomatoes in May. It was also over-hyped with "tomato caviar" which was again, tasteless and a sorrel sorbet that I found puzzling and unnecessary. I had the seafood risotto as an entree, which again, was highly recommended by the waiter. I found it average, a bit overcooked and very laden with cheese, which is completely unnecessary if you cook the risotto properly. My friend had the duck which was frightening in how rare it was and there was no sear on the breast. She barely touched it. The manager nicely comp'ed us the drinks and entree but sadly this could not make up for the fact that this meal was just not good (yet still pricey.) I don't mind paying $60-80 for a nice meal but it has to be great- this was not. For that much, I'd go back to Geronimo, where we'd eaten the night before and found to be EXCELLENT. It was obvious from the menu that the chef is trying to impress with molecular gastronomy. It would be better if they just focused on the food tasting good.
(2)James C.
Yukon gold soup great. Split an excellent filet. People all around liked their entrees. Service excellent. Bar good. Good range of menu choices.
(4)Brian R.
This was, once upon a time, one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in Santa Fe. How the mighty have fallen. The menu has gone stale. The food was very good, but not amazing, even though the prices should suggest amazing. Sticky toffee cake with popcorn ice cream and bits of popcorn over the top was really the best thing we tried. The rest of it could be had elsewhere at more bargain prices. The bar was lovely, with a great bartender and some good choices of things not found elsewhere. The hotel should be looking for a chef equally creative to restore its restaurant back to the culinary pantheon of Santa Fe restaurants.

We were just walking around Santa Fe and were a bit tired and walked right by this place and thought it looked nice enough for a drink on their outdoor patio. So glad we did! I had a rasberry champagne which was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! We just sat outside on one of their VERY nice wooden tables and enjoyed the fantastic weather. I posted a photo of my drink and the Mr.'s mimosa on the table. When I went to the bathroom I became more intrigued by this place! You have to go downstairs but it's totally worth it. The stairs are beautiful, the walls are beautiful, and you walk right past their Wine Room which has a large table right in the middle which I assume you can "reserve" for private parties. There is a beautiful glass door with rod iron work all over it so you can peek in :). The bathroom was one of the NICEST I've ever been to! I had to take a photo and upload it. LOL!!! We'll definitely come back next time we are in Santa Fe to try some grub.

In like, but not in love, with Anasazi Restaurant. However, I think this is mostly a matter of personal preference, rather than something lacking in the establishment. The menu offered variety, but nothing really jumped out at me. I went with the chicken/chicken enchilada entree. The server gently tried to steer me to something else, but again, nothing was really exciting me. The food was fine, but the prices were such that I really need to get more than fine. My friend, though, loved her scallops and pork belly entree. The beet salad was absolutely, insanely, out of this world---defintely a keeper. Atmosphere---very attractive. There were few diners here due to lack of snowfall. So, we didn't have difficulty getting in. I understand that this isn't the case at other times. So, I'm not warning people away, but check out the menu before you commit.
(3)Robert D.
After having a reservation issue at another restaurant we dropped in to this gem and had a wonderful experience. Food was very good especially the desserts. Service is at a comfortable and relaxed pace so you will not be rushed.
(5)Nick S.
This is two places, the bar and dining room. And you can most of the time eat off of either menu. Food is so so, as nice as the atmosphere is in the dining room. But the patio and bar are different, friendly servers quick and decent meals, if not limited. But even sitting on the Patton with chips and salsa and some wine make for a nice afternoon or early evening.
(3)Jennie M.
A friend who travels to NM often on business recommended this restaurant because it is her favorite place she has ever eaten. We were definitely not disappointed either. We ordered the salmon, venison and steak and eggs for our entrees. For dessert, our table shared the homemade brownie with vanilla and chocolate gelato on top. All of the meat was perfectly cooked and interestingly seasoned. The apple purée which came with the salmon was unlike anything we'd ever tasted before that was paired with fish on a plate. The only complaint would be that we wanted more brownie! Definitely a great restaurant to eat at in Santa Fe.
(5)Alex H.
Way better than expected from hotel bar. It is pricey, but tuna tartar is excellent.
(4)Anne B.
This place was astonishingly good. One of the best meals I've ever had. We had a party of four and were seated promptly (we had a reservation). The waitstaff was world-class: never interrupting, humorous, courteous, and suave! We had the clam and mussel appetizer. Wonderful. I had the beef tenderloin dinner, which was beautifully presented and so tasty. I also had a margarita, which was very good. For dessert I had the citrus olive oil cake. I think I will dream about that cake for the rest of my life, it was so good! We were there for hours, talking and laughing and eating, and never felt rushed. I would absolutely go back.
(5)Romy S.
Had such high hopes for this centrally located restaurant in this top notch hotel but it totally disappointed! Feels kinda washed up and uninspired, food didn't taste fresh instead it tasted reheated. Bummed I wasted one of my few meals in Santa Fe on this place, skip it! There are much better places in town.

This used to be a great place that was always my first stop in Santa Fe. In December, we went for lunch there and was disappointed by the bland food. The waiter informed us that they had complaints from other diners that the food was to spicy. Uhmmmm, it is New Mexico chiles. A month later we learned our credi card had been compromised and it was pinpointed to this restaurant. We returned on this trip to give it a second try but only paid with cash. This evening, our second visit for their fabulous margaritas. The waitress ignored us and needed us to get her attention two-three times. We ordered green chili fries. After waiting 20 minutes the runner brought out a green chili burger. We sent that away along with the waitress shooing the runner away. Five minutes later She blamed the kitchen and said it would be out very quickly. Another five minutes and thirty minutes after ordering the green chili fries we cancelled the order, paid our bill in cash and left. The Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi Restaurant is off of our list of "musts" for Santa Fe. BTW- the executive chef was sitting not far from us during the entire meal but was obviously far to engrossed in a business meeting to pay any attention.

This review is for the bar only as we were still too stuffed to attempt food. Stopped in for a drink on the patio after meandering The Plaza most of the morning, trying to work off our breakfast. $11 for mimosa with Gruet sparkling wine from New Mexico. That seems to be expensive for a mimosa period, but when the bottles of Gruet are going for $40 in the bar...that seems REALLY expensive! The Mrs. had a Raspberry/champer/sparkling wine which was also $11. (she uploaded the pictures of the deliciousness) The drinks were definitely tasty, but not overly memorably over any other mimosa I've had. Overall, the patio's a great place to relax on a nice day and the people watching is fun...but I had no idea how expensive raspberry and orange juice were in New Mexico!
(3)Awesomes T.
Really outstanding food and great service. Go for lunch and check out the prix fixe menu -- it's only a couple bucks more than most of the entrees you'd order anyway, and you get a three-course meal instead! The desserts, though I didn't have any, looked (and, from friends' reports, tasted) really delicious, too. The chocolate coulant was a crowd-pleaser.
(4)Jabba T.
What an overrated disappointment. Given the famous reputation of this exclusive (and expensive) hotel, this restaurant should have food to match- It DOESN'T! Barely good even by hotel standards, it falls short on food quality and service. I remember a day long ago when I would save money to come here to enjoy a wonderful brunch or fancy dinner. Those days are long gone now.
(1)Doug S.
This joints a has been. Food and service were traditional hotel quality which threw me because of the high end hotel and rave reviews.
(1)Erik E.
Tonight was my third visit to the Anasazi Restaurant. The first two were for breakfast (I got the breakfast burrito both times --- one of the best I'd ever had!), but tonight was my first dinner trip. I was here for the special New Mexico Restaurant Week menu. $40 for a three course prix fixe menu. The atmosphere is dark, elegant, and cozy. Big timbers holding up the ceiling (at least, I'm pretending that they are), and a waitstaff with accents rooted in the romance languages (most of them, it seemed). White tablecloths and a votive candle in a heavy glass holder on each table. Primo date spot. Service was great. Now on to the food! The short version is "see 5 stars above". The longer version is as follows: The meal started with a complementary basket of bread. The crackerish bread with what I'm guessing was anise seed was very good. The French bread slices were rather hard, but didn't taste stale. Maybe this was on purpose (?). Served with a small round of (not cold) herbed butter. Good, but thankfully not the highlight of the meal. I started with the prawn risotto (see photo). VERY good! Risotto with spinach and diced roasted sweet potato and squash. Instead of the usual Parmesan, there was queso fresco (nice!). Two big herby prawns (too big to be called shrimp, I guess) and some micro greens propped on top. This was surrounded by a foamy sea of "crustacean cream". Me likey! Next was the cascabel braised short ribs. Cascabel is type of mild to moderate chili. It has a nutty maybe even smoky taste. The chef made a sauce of it that was perfect on the boneless beef short rib. This was all on a bed of the most amazing creamy grits. SO creamy! I'm not normally a big fan of grits, but these were awesome! Also some baby carrots (tri-color), a few snow peas for color, and topped with tobacco onions. Unfortunately, my photos of this dish were too dark. It looked as good as it tasted, and it looked goooood! After I finished off the ribs and I was polishing off my glass of Cabernet, the chef sent out a complimentary glass of port. Awesome! Desert followed (see picture): a dish of crème brûlée with some sliced cooked pears at the base. It was good. I'm not sure the pears really added anything, but it was not a disappointing dish by any means. This was served with a pair of biscochitos and candied cherries (?), Not sure if that's what they were, but I liked 'em. They really do a great job with presentation here. Check out the sauces drizzled on the plate. I know, they didn't invent that, but still (!) I don't get that kind of plating at home.

I am from out of town and we went here for Thanksgiving dinner. The group of 8, I was with had been to this establishment before and said the food was great, so I was looking forward to an exceptional meal. And one would expect so when you pay $85 per person. For the starter, I had the quail quesadila which was interestingly plated. It tasted ok, but the corn meal was rather bland and mushy. For dinner I had the steak which was good for the most part. It was cooked to the temp I requested but was lacking something special. For dessert I had the pumpkin bread pudding which was by far the most disappointing part of the meal, it basically tasted like nothing, and made me sad inside. I feel like it's important to leave this review because trusting a Thanksgiving meal to a restaurant is a big deal. You expect to get something amazing especially for the price. I don't think I would ever go to this restaurant again seeing as how Santa Fe has so many exceptional restaurants.
(2)Alisson S.
This is a review for the BAR at Anasazi Restaurant ONLY. Christmas night this was the only place we could find open for a drink. I ordered the sidecar they had on the cocktail menu and was served a glass of what tasted like petrol. It was revolting and no one at the table could take more than one sip. Other drinks at the table were just as strong, the only one that was completely finished was a glass of wine. I won't drink there again.
(2)K K.
Great place to entertain, creative dishes, outstanding place for making memories. Pricey but it's Santa Fe. Superior to some other local establishments, drinks are pricey too, but the service is grand.
(4)Jim L.
We discovered this gem of a restaurant, almost as an afterthought but the marvelous food and amiable staff proved to be a tonic from our extended drive. I don't know if we caught them at the right time of the day but the crowd at the Anasazi seemed quieter than most you encounter when dining out--that's a big plus in my book because I will walk out of a restaurant before my ears start to bleed. Everything about this fine establishment struck me as perfect: decor, atmosphere, as well as the extremely satisfying dishes (had the chicken fajitas and tortilla soup, ummm). Have to say, this was one of the more pleasant dining experiences in recent memory.
(5)Lauren D.
Went here for our anniversary dinner when in town. The food and service is amazing! The atmosphere is very dark and romantic so it was a perfect choice. We would definitely recommend it to our friends and it's worth the price for a nice dinner out.
(5)Bianca R.
A lovely meal in a relaxing quiet atmosphere. We had an early dinner before the opera. The staff was accomodating to our schedule and kept our group of 6 on track!! The buffallo burger was a surprisingly popular item (although I thought the fries to be a bit over seasoned and I love salt). The grilled romaine salad and heirloom tomato watermelon salad were wonderful!!! Scallops were perfectly cooked but a bit heavy on the cumin. Beautiful presentation and excellent service. All in all it was a great experience and I will be back. Maybe I will splurge and order the gigantic burger with bacon, fries and onion strings for myself next time!
(4)Tony C.
Great staff who take pride in their work. The food was delicious and the wine list extensive if somewhat pricey.
(4)Kent S.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Bit on the pricey side and great tasting food.
(4)Jack A.
Returning to Santa Fe after a year living in San Francisco, I decided to give this restaurant another try, because the Anasazi has a new chef, Oliver Ridgeway. I now have another reason to be grateful to be back in New Mexico. This was one of the best restaurant meals I have ever had. The first course was a diver scallop in an excellent sauce. For an entree, I had the elk, and my wife had salmon. Both were prepared to perfection. The spring green salad accompaniment was excellent, definitely not smothered in dressing! The service was perfect; attentive but not intrusive. I will return often.
(5)Jack C.
Great sangria's. Be aware though, when you order the nacho's get the half order. The regular order is huge! Great outdoor seating for people watching. Leslie is a great server. Ask for her...
(4)Michael K.
Excellent Restaurant. The dining room is very elegant and quiet. The service is excellent. The chef, who is a young englishman, is very talented. All the dishs our party had were very good and beautifully presented. For Santa Fe this was reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.
(5)Eric P.
very stylish dining room with exceptional service. unfortunately the food when I went was not up to the standards that you would expect in such a setting. Romaine salad was a bit smothered in dressing, and the chicken enchiladas, though benefiting from tender slow cooked chicken and a refreshingly piquant sauce were still a bit on the bland side. a bit pricey for what you get, but other items on the menu certainly looked like they had potential
(3)Luke P.
Wonderful, relaxing brunch. We sat around for 2 hours and enjoyed spicy bloody mary's with our brunch entrees, all while being serenaded by a Spanish guitarist. I had a yummy cup of tortilla soup with my breakfast burrito, and was completely full by the time we decided to leave. Everyone in our party was happy. The atmosphere is classic upscale Santa Fe, and i love the comfy seating. The only drawback was the slow service, but it really didn't matter that much when food and drink are as good as this.
(4)Meagen H.
We've only eaten here for Sunday brunch, but it was pretty damn good. high prices, but you get what you pay for.
(4)Ed M.
Wow. What a treat the Anasazi is. I had one of the best meals I've ever had here. The decor is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is super friendly and efficient. They just plain get it right. The best around.
(5)monolith ..
i had drinks and dinner here on the patio. lamb two ways which was decent. something was off though i couldnt tell you exactly what it was. they have a patio menu but then you can order off the dinner menu while on the patio. the inside looked very nice..maybe a nice place for a romantic dinner yet my experience was ok nt great and at that price point it should be better, though i would give them a second chance.
(3)Jillian P.
Wow. What a fabulous experience! We had our work holiday lunch/dinner here. I was super nervous bc at the time, I was on a crazy restricted diet (no legumes, grains, soy, dairy, gluten, sugar, nightshades, nuts, corn, tropical fruit, alcohol or caffeine). I didn't eat out during this time, for obvious reasons, but it was a work celebration and I wanted to join in. Clearly, I couldn't simply order off of the menu, so I sheepishly spoke with the server and they were nothing but accommodating. It was "no problem at all" in their mind. The chef made me one of the most fabulous steaks with asparagus that I have ever tastes. Amazing! I can't wait to return now that I can freely order off of the menu and taste their regular creations. So grateful for their amazingness.
(5)Nancy L.
We were a foursome last night and the food was excellent. If you are a "foodie" with an unlimited budget--you'll love this restaurant. The only reason I am giving this review four stars instead of five is because our waiter was less than attentive and the first bottle of wine we ordered was unavailable. We ordered three appetizers, the duck enchiladas were smoky and flavorful and the two salads inventive with a lot of variety. I had the sea bass verde which was the fish with an avocado puree over posole. Interesting dish which had just the right amount of heat and tang. Our bill was about $100 a person, with one bottle of wine for the four of us.
(4)Julia K.
We had a delightful meal at this gorgeous restaurant. Located in the heart of Santa Fe it could not be more convenient. Having said that, parking can be a challenge. We had a super meal and great service. The temperatures on all the main dishes was spot on. Skip the gazpacho trio and go for the one that appeals the best to your sensibilities. They are all stunning and having all three was a bit of a muddle. Their portions are perfect but if you want small portions they accommodate split dishes very nicely. I will return.
(5)Sandi S.
We had dinner here last night. It was one of the best meals we have had! It was amazing from start to finish! We got the Heirloom tomato salad for the starter. I got the Salmon and my husband got the Beef Tenderloin. Both were delicious! Dessert was amazing too, he got a chocolate cake and I got a trio of homemade ice-creams. It was amazing and a great way to end the meal!
(5)Gary D. S.
Went with Sally and Greg with the kids. Was Feb. when C went for ballet tryout. We had an absolute blast. The local Opera singers were there at the piano we sang and had so much fun. Instant Classic. Cognac and cigars and songs. Even better I got sick from our Bazilian restaurant in Albq. That afternoon. The kids and us stayed and extra few days at the old governors mansion. It snowed the next day. Santa Fe cloaked in snow for the kids. A special treat. They'll never forget it.
(5)Rob K.
I ate here during a conference in June, 2015. The service was flawless. Our waitress was well prepared to answer any questions about the menu or wine list. She made several recommendations which were appreciated. I had the beef tenderloin which was cooked to perfection and well presented. Our table split a bottle of wine which was a waitress suggestion (fantastic). Dessert I had the flan with a caramel sauce and ice cream, also delicious. Service was flawless. Drinks were poured at the appropriate time, cutlery changed at the correct time, and with no interruptions from the wait staff. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. This is not a cheaper restaurant. My beef was approximately 45.00, the flan was 12. Quality was there and I would definitely return. Keep up the good work!

We ate here twice in three days, and thought about it constantly on the off-day. Hence the 5 stars. The first night we sat in the recently-renovated dining room. The decor is light and modern with whites and grays, but kept warm and inviting with upholstered seating and deep-colored wood tables. More importantly, our meal was perfect. We started with a salad of bitter greens with the most delicate honey vinaigrette. My beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked and accompanied by some type of magical salsa made of pickled peppers & veggies. My husband had the seared duck, which was also cooked perfectly. Our waiter, Joaquin, treated us to excellent service and two complimentary glasses of New Mexican Blanc de Noir in celebration of our honeymoon. The manager, Miguel, checked in on us and later sent us a beautiful trio of desserts- flan, caramel ice cream (I'd eat a gallon everyday if I could), and chocolate mousse. Shout out to Leslie, who worked with Joaquin to deliver top-notch dining service. I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed the bar menu as well, but basically just make sure you order the buffalo sliders, pork belly cubanitos, and caprese empanadas. Well, actually, you should get all 4 of the empanadas if you have room. Fun fact: you can choose 3 dishes off the bar menu for $28 and have more than enough food for two people to leave overly-satisfied. So. Freaking. Good.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Anasazi Restaurant some 8 years ago and remembered it as being simply perfect. Fast forward 8 years and those same sentiments hold just as true. I challenge you to find a more beautiful dining room, a menu as intriguing and delightful, and a staff as competent as those at the Anasazi. I reserve no hesitation to visit once again whenever I come back to beautiful Santa Fe.

Arrived in Santa Fe yesterday and at dinner here, we are staying at the hotel. The atmosphere it very warm and cozy. Service was excellent. I loved my entree Lobster Papardelle. My husbands was a little bland. This is a pricey restaurant.

The food was outstanding and the setting was quaint. They were renovating the main dining room so the restaurant relocated into the hotel library. It was perfect, and it was impossible to tell that this wasn't an intended location for dining. The setting was ideal for a romantic evening. I ordered the Ribeye for my main, which was very good. It was well-seasoned, tender and cooked appropriately. For dessert, I had the flan which was fantastic. The wait staff was on point with their service, never intruding unnecessarily but always ensuring that our needs were met. They were sociable when engaged, and had thoughtful suggestions regarding the menu. The one thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is that while the steak was good, I was not blown away. I also tried my friend's dish, the elk, which was also very good but not quite good enough to put me over the top in this price range. I would absolutely return here, and would recommend this to anyone as a perfect place for a quiet, romantic dinner.

Great pomegranate martini, Excellent Duck enchiladas as appetizer, the Chorizo I was expecting a little more "Spain" flavor, my entrée was the Lamb ordered medium rare brought medium but Excellent!! Tender juicy and overall the plate was an explosion of flavors. My wife had the salmon and was excellent as well. The desert was the apple tart, was way too sweet (hence the 4 stars instead of 5, also the main dishes took a while) Service was excellent and cordial by a bunch of people coming and going all smiling. Music live guy and a guitar funny and excellent voice. Will definitely return.

Fantastic food and service. Friendly and accommodating staff. Delicious gluten-free rolls. Looking forward to trying the tequila tasting station next time.

I checked out Anasazi Restaurant twice during my stay in Santa Fe. It's the perfect spot to drop into after perusing the shops around the SF Plaza. No rezzies? No worries. Grab a seat at the bar or lounge area and enjoy that margarita. For dinner, I rec patio dining because that cool Santa Fe air is amazing at night, especially when sipping on a glass of Gruet - one of my favorite bubblies based right in New Mexico! It's New American fare with slight - and I mean, slight - New Mexico influences. Think duck enchilada mole and Angus beef with piñon-malbec sauce (piñon pine being native to the area). What i enjoyed about my visit the first time was the refreshing house margarita and quick service. During my second visit for dinner, the beet salad! Oh howI was craving beets during my time in SF and couldn't find a reputable juice bar serving up that delicious root. Glad Anasazi had a gourmet salad with a fresh medley of colorful beats and goat cheese. The cons? :: Sangria - don't order it. I saw the bartender make our orders with 3 parts juice and one part wine. It tasted like pure juice - far too sugary and not nearly as refreshing as a sangria should taste. No fruit, no club soda or sparkling water. :: Some prices are a little overboard, like $45 for a few lamb lollipops over vegetable puree. In all, I wouldn't mind dropping in to Anasazi for a cocktail and light snack during my next stay in Santa Fe. However, there are quite a few better restaurants in the town at the same price point or cheaper with better fare.
